Bicyclerute
If you don't have your bike with you on holiday, you can always rent them at the campsite. If we don't have your size, we can get them home from the same day. So don't hesitate to ask.
We have bicycle maps at reception, and they can also be purchased at the tourist office in Nykøbing.
The Fjord Path
- Take the fjord path to Nykøbing, where you can also cycle to Rørvig. On the way via the fjord path you will pass through Hov Vig and the Nakke peninsula. The trip is 23 km from the campsite
- Hov Vig is a unique bird and wildlife reserve with extensive wetlands, reed forests and meadows. 231 different bird species have been registered in the area. And thanks to the Hov-vigvej, which cuts right through the area, you can get up close to the birds.
The Burial Mound Route
If you like historical places, you can cycle over Sidinge dam and follow the grave mound route, which is 32 km long. Here you will pass ancient monuments from the Bronze Age and spectacular viewpoints, on the Grave mound route (32,2 km). Here you will take a trip around the "Mountains", which is one of Denmark's most beautiful examples of the natural type called overdrev.
The route is also called the “View Route”, as the many burial mounds that you pass on the route are always located high in the landscape, with beautiful views over fields, bays and fjords. The burial mound route is a route that is best suited to the more experienced rider, due to the many climbs and the hilly terrain. The reward is great, however, as the route offers a wealth of spectacular viewpoints.
The ice age route
If you continue towards Nykøbing on the old road, you will reach Ulkerup and Annebjerg Skov.
- The Ice Age Route is right on the edge of the campsite, so it's easy to cycle long distances and spend the night here. Either in shelters or in one of the many rental units we have.
- On the 390 km cycling route, you can experience how the Ice Age shaped the landscape about 20.000 years ago. The Ice Age Route is a combined cycling and adventure route that winds through five stages through forest, country and along the fjord. Whether you visit the area on a short trip or a cycling holiday, you will experience a magnificent landscape that awakens a strong feeling of freedom and unity with nature.
- Here you can freely move in the unique traces from the time when the country was just a pile of gravel and stones moved by the ice from the northern regions. The Ice Age Route is a trip through the very early history of Denmark. A story that is told through the landscape.
- The Ice Age Route is for both shorter and longer trips. The route consists of good paths and small roads with few cars, and is therefore suitable for both cyclists who want a fast pace and for families where both big and small legs need to be able to keep up.
- The main route is 280 km, from where you have the option of taking one of the many loops along the route. The loops are about 110 km, making the total Ice Age route 390 km. Along the route there will be signs where you can read more about the places you pass along the way.
